Practice Philosophy

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student, I am passionate about helping individuals cultivate self-love and feel as though they are living life to the fullest. I believe that experiencing self-love is essential for living a fulfilling and meaningful life. My approach centers on fostering a collaborative therapeutic alliance, where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their inner worlds.

I believe that our experiences, including childhood, significantly shape who we are. While it is important to address present concerns, I also emphasize the importance of exploring past influences to gain a comprehensive understanding of my clients' journeys. By integrating insights from both the past and present, I aim to guide individuals toward self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. My goal is to support clients in developing a deeper connection with themselves, enabling them to fall in love with themselves and their lives.

Therapeutic Approach & Specialties

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, establishing a strong therapeutic alliance is key and helps one feel secure, trust the process, and speak freely. When there's trust, we can dig into the core of issues and create a plan together. I use a person-centered approach, prioritizing each client's unique experiences. I also focus on strengths, aiming to empower individuals by acknowledging and enhancing what they are good at.

Young Adults/Millennials:
Being a young adult today comes with its own set of hurdles—social pressures, changing expectations, and life adjustments. My aim is to assist young adults in navigating these challenges and improving their quality of life. I provide a safe, empathetic space where they can feel supported and understood as they work through their issues and build resilience.

Women’s Body Issues and Self-Esteem:
I provide a safe and supportive environment for women to express themselves freely. My passion lies in helping women build confidence in all aspects of their lives, including fostering a positive body image. Acknowledging the impact of societal pressures and social media, I strive to empower women to feel confident and beautiful in their own bodies, overcoming external influences that may hinder their self-esteem and well-being. Being a woman in today’s world can take many different forms, and I passionately believe that every way of being is acceptable. My approach embraces the diversity of women’s experiences, supporting everyone in discovering and celebrating their unique identity.

Depression:
I specialize in depression and recognize the significant impact it can have on individuals' lives. I provide support by delving into the potential underlying causes of depression and equipping clients with the necessary tools to navigate their challenges and improve their well-being. My goal is to help clients move through their depressive experiences and achieve a better quality of life.

Anxiety Healing:
Anxiety is a prevalent issue today, and I recognize the debilitating impact it can have. I prioritize helping individuals effectively manage and heal from anxiety. My approach focuses on equipping clients with the tools and strategies necessary for navigating and alleviating anxiety in their daily lives.

Adolescents 13+: I provide a safe and supportive environment for adolescents to explore their emotions and discuss their feelings. Recognizing the challenges posed by social media and societal pressures, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance founded on trust and empathy. This secure and understanding space allows them to navigate their experiences and emotions effectively.

Background
Born and raised in Michigan, I pursued my undergraduate studies at DePaul University in Chicago, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. My own therapeutic journey led me to discover the transformative power of therapy, igniting a passion for helping others through therapeutic practices. Currently, I am completing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Walden University, now in the final stages of my program.

My lifelong involvement in equestrian activities, beginning at the age of six, continues as I actively compete in horse shows. Additionally, I have enjoyed a decade-long career as a professional model, which has fueled my commitment to promoting body positivity and empowering women to feel beautiful both inside and out. I also have a deep love for travel and discovering novel places.
